About Asbury United Methodist Church Getzville

Here at Asbury our congregation is our church! We are committed to remain United Methodists welcoming all people to worship with us. The building is where we meet to praise our Lord in words and deeds. We are a group of a diverse individuals that each has something to share. Our beliefs are based on the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ. Our mission is to love God; to love others; and to serve the world.  That means we’re not about a building or some complicated religious system, but about helping people from all backgrounds discover the joy that comes from knowing and serving Jesus Christ.

You are invited to join us for worship on Sunday at 10:30 am or come by for a tour. We invite you to come and check us out.  We know that going to a new church can be intimidating, so we try to do things in a way where you’ll feel welcome.   When you come in you will be greeted by a member of our church and if you are interested we will give you welcome bag so that can learn more about us. You can participate or just sit back and observe. You’ll discover a warm atmosphere, practical teaching from God's Word and lots of friendly people pursuing God together. Our Sunday school and nursery are available to offer your children a warm experience as well.

God made a promise in the Bible that if we seek after Him, we’ll find Him. You are a valued part of God’s creation and His deep desire is to be in a relationship with you. So come and join us as we pursue God together!

Faith

Our faith is formed and modeled after the example of Jesus Christ, who lived in obedience to God, demonstrating compassionate love for all people and courageously working to bring God's kingdom vision of peace into a broken world.

Family

We value the family and believe church should be a place for people of all ages. We want you to feel like family too. We joyfully welcome children to participate in worship, sharing a short Children's Chat with the pastor during the service, then offering an age-appropriate environment to encounter Christ in a classroom setting.  Children return to the sanctuary for the celebration of Holy Communion, where they are welcomed at the table!

 Leadership

Asbury United Methodist Church Getzville is guided by a leadership team who provide overall direction and watch over the spiritual needs of the church. Our pastors provide sound, practical, biblical teaching at each worship service. They have received theological and pastoral training and are equipped to share God's love with our local community. Asbury United Methodist Church Getzville is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will.
